National Inventory of Contaminated Sites – Phase II

The priority objective of the National Inventory of Contaminated Sites – Phase II (NIKM II, 2018 – 2021) is to capture and baseline assessment of contaminated and potentially contaminated sites nationwide as completely as possible. The output of the inventory will be a national database of contaminated and potentially contaminated sites, in which each site will have its own entry. Each entry in the database will contain the information gathered about the site and its assessment in terms of the principle nature of further action and the urgency of the solution, depending on the risk or potential risk the site poses to human health and the environment in the context of the specific local conditions. In addition, the results of the inventory will be synthetically summarised and evaluated in 15 summary reports, which will characterise the problems of contamination of the rock environment in individual regions, in the territory of the capital city and in the whole country.
The project was launched on 2 January 2018. During 2018, a public tender for “Supply of inventory works and services for the project of the 2nd phase of the national inventory of contaminated sites” was announced and evaluated.
