Home CENIA Projects

CENIA fulfils its mission as an environmental information agency by implementing national and international projects. The aim of the projects is to support and develop CENIA’s specialised agendas and capacities.

Bilateral cooperation projects

CENIA participates in twinning projects in which EU member states share their experts / expert knowledge / know-how with another country. CENIA is both a beneficiary of the twinning projects (the last projects are being implemented in 2009) and sends its own experts abroad.

European Commission projects

Being an environmental information agency, CENIA participated in different projects financed by the European Commission. These projects establish European themed networks for different topics, provide expert services to the European Commission, etc.

Structural Funds projects

Project teams established horizontally across CENIA work with one another on both national and international projects focused on the development of specialised agendas and the enhancement of professional skills.

National scientific and research projects

CENIA experts, together with other institutions, participate in specific scientific projects.
