Home About CENIA CENIA Was Granted the Quality Management Certificate

Pursuant to the assignment of the transformation project of the Ministry of the Environment, CENIA, the Czech Environmental Information Agency, transferred from functional to process management and started to target its activities to main target groups, i.e. its clients within the meaning of Act No. 123/1998 Coll., on the right to information on the environment, and Act No. 106/1999 Coll., on free access to information.

Over 2005, the analysis of main (production) processes was carried out and the transformation was finalized by process systemization into a functional unit (management, processes and support) and a system (planning, allocation of resources, design and development, feedback and constant improvement) pursuant to the ISO management system. The abbreviation ISO stands for the International Organization for Standardization, an international association of standardization bodies – ISO members.

Due to world economy changes (supply exceeding demand, business globalization) the importance of quality has dramatically increased. CENIA knows that the ability to satisfy customers does not mean only the provision of services, but involves the whole reproduction cycle.

CENIA started to implement ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 with a purely process attitude, supported by HEXPERT, s.r.o., a consulting and training company, in June 2006. The implementation finished in February 2007. The certification audit was performed by Quality Austria, an internationally established company, between 27 and 29 March 2007. The result of the audit was: the issue of the certificate is recommended.

The stabilization of financing pursuant to specified processes, tasks and projects creates conditions for a bigger work efficiency and a fast response to changing needs of customers who include not only the Ministry of the Environment, but also the general public.
