The Environmental Education and Awareness (EE&A) Unit deals with the topic of Local Agenda 21 in relation to the social pillar of sustainable development.
It cooperates with members of public within the framework of sustainable development, supporting sustainable development activities in local conditions (Local Agenda 21). The EE&A Unit provides information, consulting and cooperation in the areas specified in Section 13 of Act No. 123/1998 Coll., on the Right to Environmental Information, including the relevant methodologies. It prepares the outcome of the Agency in the field of sustainable development education and awareness. The EE&A Unit operates and updates the EE&A Information System and the database of Local Agendas 21. In terms of organisation it is responsible for the Working Group of the Government Council for the Sustainable Development of LA 21.
