In cooperation with the Local Agenda 21 (LA21) Unit it performs conceptual activities related to the social pillar of sustainable development. It provides professional support to LA21. It works with the public in the sense of sustainable development, and supports activities for sustainable development in local conditions (Local Agenda 21). It provides information, consultancy and cooperation in given subjects pursuant to Section 13 of Act No. 123/1998 Coll., on the Right to Environmental Information, including the presentation of methodologies in given topics. It ensures the outcomes of the Unit in the field of education leading to sustainable development. It operates and updates the EE&A information system and the database of Local Agendas 21. It organises the Working Group of the Council of the Government for sustainable development for Local Agendas 21.
